Utility Deposit Information
New residents may establish accounts at Town Hall for water, sewer, stormwater, and solid waste services. The customer must provide a deposit (refundable upon termination of service after all outstanding amounts have been paid) the amount of which is calculated as follows:
- Sewer Deposit: $50 per toilet
- Water Deposit: Last three months’ usage for the property address
- Solid Waste: Two months' service
Water Utility Service Information
All Users (Residential & Non-Residential)
The charges for water service in Town are $6.41 per 1,000 gallons plus 6%, as determined by Miami-Dade County, to compensate for the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer utility charges to finance the Environmental Resource Management Department's water and utility regulation program.
There is a minimum water service of $29.77 per living unit, regardless of usage.
Sewer Utility Service Information
Residential Users
Sewage charges shall be based upon water usage (excluding water usage through meters used exclusively for irrigation) at a rate of $13.17 per 1,000 gallons. In addition, there shall be a monthly base charge of $34.43 per living unit, regardless of usage.
Non-Residential Users
Sewage charges shall be based upon water usage (excluding water usage through meters used exclusively for irrigation) at a rate of $13.17 per 1,000 gallons. In addition, there shall be a monthly base charge regardless of usage, depending upon the size of the water meter, as follows:

Solid Waste Utility Service Information
The Town of Bay Harbor Islands shall collect or franchise service for the collection and disposal of garbage and yard waste as prescribed by Section 9-38 (B) of the Code of the Ordinances, and all persons, firms, or corporations whose premises are serviced thereby shall pay the following rates:

Stormwater Utility Service Information
The stormwater utility fee per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) is $15 per month. The authority for stormwater utility charges is granted to the Town Council by the Town of Bay Harbor Charter Section 20-15(a).

The customer must provide a deposit (refundable upon termination of service after all outstanding amounts have been paid) for water service to a construction site for $300.
